What We Believe
We reaffirm John Wesley's traditional twenty-five Articles of Belief — plus articles on Sanctification and Christian Marriage.
The Bible
The inspired and infallible Word of God, inerrant in the original manuscripts.
The Triune God
One God, eternally existent in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
The only Savior — His deity, virgin birth, death, resurrection, ascension, and imminent return.
Salvation
By grace through faith in the blood atonement of Christ, through the repentance of sins.
Sanctification
The believer can be cleansed from all sin through the sanctifying power of the blood of Christ.
Christian Marriage
Marriage is between one natural born man and one natural born woman (Article XXX).
A Heritage of Faithful, Independent Methodism
On June 20, 1965, in Jackson, Mississippi, 1,100 Methodists from every district in the state gathered to form the Association of Independent Methodists. Six decades later, AIM is still planting churches, sending missionaries, training leaders, and serving the local church.
